Whoops, let me correct that after a sixth read. IDNA distinguishes between U-label and NR-LDH-label. If we only allow U-label, we can't use simple domain names like "example.com". The text becomes:

This <xref target="I-D.ietf-idnabis-defs">IDN-aware domain name slot</xref> is formed from any sequence of valid U-labels or NR-LDH-labels.
